Alok Clinic Listed in Complete Skin Care under One Roof Located in Panvel City,Panvel About Us Alok Clinic is a skin care facility in Panvel, Maharashtra, India. Panvel is a suburb of Navi Mumbai, a city that has seen rapid development in recent years. The clinic is owned by Dr Dipak Kulkarni, a dermatologist. He began private practice in Panvel in 1989. History: In the initial years, Dr Kulkarni was part of a polyclinic setup. In 1992, he moved his practice to a new location in Yashodeep Apartments, Gadkari Road and called it 'Alok Clinic'. The clinic operated out of Yashodeep Apartments until 1999, when it moved to a larger office in the building opposite (Shah Plaza). In 2009, the old office in Yashodeep Apartments was turned into Ojas Clinic, a center for advanced dermatological treatments. General Information: Alok Clinic deals with dermatological as well as cosmetically important conditions (complete skin care under one roof). The clinic operates from Monday to Saturday (9 am - 9 pm). Apart from Dr Kulkarni, a team of five associate dermatologists works at Alok Clinic. These associate dermatologists are Dr Nitin Tayade, Dr Laxman Phonde, Dr Bindu Gautam, Dr Parul Thakur, Dr Priyanka Gadge, Dr Aparna Gaikwad and Dr Pranita Wankhede. The presence of this team allows the clinic to operate for 6 days of the week, for 12 hours each day. Dr Kulkarni has recently opened a branch of Alok Clinic in New Panvel (East). Computerization: Alok Clinic has developed its own software to manage patient records, courtesy of Mr Ashish Patil of Infosoft Technologies. This software now keeps detailed records of more than 1,00,000 patients. The long term goal of the clinic is to become a completely paperless establishment. Service to the poor: Alok Clinic is considerate to poor patients and helps them with appropriate concessions in consultation fees. It offers free consultations to socially active institutions like the Kushtharog Nivaran Samiti, Shantiwan. Patients referred to the clinic by Shantivan technicians and government PHCs for confirmation of diagnosis of leprosy are seen at concessional rate or no charge. Dr Kulkarni and other doctors on his staff are actively involved in the training of the field staff at these institutions. Some expensive drugs and dressing kits used for the management of leprosy patients are available at the clinic at a lower cost, courtesy of Shantiwan. Alok Clinic offers MCR footwear (special footwear for patients with numb soles) at a reasonable cost, courtsey of Alert India, another NGO from Mumbai.
