Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest carmaker, has launched the famous Eeco with BSVI engine. The Ex. showroom price of this MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) ranges from Rs. 3.8 lakhs to Rs. 4.2 lakhs. This is the ninth model of a company which upgraded to BSVI.
The company had reported a 36% increase in the wholesale price index. Last year more than one Lac models of this MPV were sold. So far more than 6.5 lakh units of this MPV have been sold since launch. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco’s BSVI Petrol variant is the price increase Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 then the old model. For CNG variant pricing has not been announced yet by the company.
The company had upgraded this MPV as per the BSVI rules which came into force from 1st April 2019. Then the company added safety features like EBS with ABS, driver’s airbag, reverse parking sensors.
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco has a 1996 cc, 4-cylinder engine. The petrol engine generated 73 hp and 101 Nm of torque. The CNG engine generated 63 hp and 86 Nm of torque. The Eeco has a 4-speed manual gearbox. The Maruti Eeco will be available in 5-seater, 7-seater and cargo van variants as before. It already has a 1.2 litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. The petrol variant’s pf Eeco operates at 15.37 km per litre, while the CNG has a mileage of 21.94 km per kg.
